County Courthouse is a n original watercolor painting of the bell tower of the 1902 Ozaukee county courthouse. The courthouse is an example of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture, designed by Frederick Graf. An eagle with spread wings perches atop the steeple. The painting's viewpoint looks upward to the tower turrets, clocks and rough cut gray stone against the blue sky. A shaped format gives this image a creative separation from its white border. Colors are richly saturated with strong value contrasts. The painting is float mounted and double matted with a custom designed whitewashed frame and non glare glass.
