IMG_3979 Lion's Den Gorge Bridge

Lion's Den Gorge Bridge is a woodland landscape of the forested bluffs along Lake Michigan in Spring, showing a profusion of trilliums and the path to the bridge which spans the deep gorge in this nature preserve.  A painterly approach gives the viewer a feeling of dancing light and gentle breezes.  Painted on Arches hot pressed watercolor paper, this painting has many subtle variations of green, purple, Raw Sienna and Burnt Sienna, as well as the white triangular flower shapes.  It is float mounted , double matted and framed in a classic wood frame and non glare glass.
