Sundown in the Grand Canyon

Sundown in the Grand Canyon was painted after a March snowfall that was followed by a bright blue sky spring day.  The sculptural forms, brilliant colors and dynamic patterns created by the afternoon shadows are rendered in sharp contrasts.  Painted on hot pressed Arches watercolor paper, float mounted and double matted.  Accepted into Watercolor Wisconsin 2021, the 55th  Annual Juried Competition at RAM's Wustum Museum
