Morning Sunrise IMG_263

Morning Sunrise is an interpretive painting with saturated Opera Rose. Ultramarine Blue and Sepia colors.  The brushstrokes and flooded areas create a composition that is not representational yet evokes the sense of motion and mystery with high contrast and backrun areas.  The inspiration for Morning Sunrise was that split second moment after the sun rises over the horizon, casting long ragged shadows in the snow.
