Mequon Collage is a watercolor and pen and ink design study that includes important landmarks and symbols of Mequon's heritage, such as the Mequon-Thiensville library, City Hall, observation tower, Concordia College, the Buntrock sculpture, nature preserves along the river and Grasslyn road, the biathlon, farm animals and bald eagle's nest on Lake Michigan's shoreline. The technique for this artwork features a labyrinth of ink sketches that interact in abstract patterns and form a network for the washes of transparent watercolor overlaying it. Created on hot pressed Arches watercolor paper, float mounted , double matted and framed in light pecan.
