Below the Dam IMG_0016

Below the Dam is a plein air painting of Cedarburg's dam during the 2024 Paint Cedarburg event.  It depicts the rushing, foamy river after rains in naturalistic colors.  The watercolor painting was bonded to a birchwood cradle after completion, then varnished with fine art varnish and buffed with Dorlands's wax, a new way of presenting watercolors that eliminates the need for glass between the art and the viewer.
