San Antonio Riverwalk. IMG_1258

San Antonio Riverwalk is an urban landscape of the popular tourist attraction in the downtown historic San Antonio Riverwalk.  The mall -like atmosphere combines four levels of shops, restaurants, outdoor gathering places and cafes along with the natural beauty of giant trees, tall waterfalls, sculpture gardens and river boats.  Pedestrians stroll on the wide sidewalks with their pets and strollers, while sounds of river ripples and the delicious aroma of outdoor barbeques delight the senses.  This painting comprises many active and detailed events and structures, which are depicted with saturated colors and patterns.  Central to the composition are the large red sun umbrella and the huge tree shading everything overhead. This painting s mounted on a 1 1/2.  “ wood cradle, varnished, waxed, buffed and framed in a walnut float frame.

It will be exhibited in the Spring Exhibit of the Wisconsin Watercolor Society at the Cedarburg Art Museum  W63N675 Washington Avenue, Cedarburg, WI 53012, which opens with a public Reception Saturday, January 18, 2025 ,  2 - 4PM.  The show runs until  April 27, 2025.
